I picked up the Complete Asterix Box set (38 titles) from Orion Children’s Books in the graphic novels and comics category, and I’ll give you my honest take on whether this collection is worth your money. At $188.62, this isn’t a casual purchase, but for anyone serious about owning a complete collection of classic European comics, it deserves serious consideration. I’m not someone who wastes time with half measures, so when I decided to invest in Asterix, I went all in with the complete set.
Let me be straight with you. I grew up reading Asterix comics, and I wanted my kids to experience the same stories that shaped my humor and imagination. The Complete Asterix Box set (38 titles) delivers exactly what it promises: all 38 classic albums in a beautifully packaged collection. Each book is hardcover with quality binding, and the illustrations are crisp and vibrant. The paper quality is substantially better than the older paperback editions I remember from childhood. Orion Children’s Books clearly put thought into this product rather than just dumping content into a box.
