I recently picked up the Pachmayr 05103 Tactical Grip Glove for Moss Shockwave & Rem Tac 14, Black from Pachmayr, and after putting it through its paces, I want to give you my honest take on this tactical grip accessory. At $11.99, this is the kind of product that either delivers solid value or wastes your money. I’ve handled enough gear in my Marine days to know the difference, and this one is worth your attention if you own either of those shotguns.
Why the Pachmayr 05103 Tactical Grip Glove for Moss Shockwave & Rem Tac 14, Black Stands Out
Let me be direct about what this grip does. The Pachmayr 05103 Tactical Grip Glove for Moss Shockwave & Rem Tac 14, Black is engineered to improve control and reduce recoil stress on your hand during firing. These two shotguns come from the factory with minimal grip surface, and if you have larger hands or plan to shoot more than a few rounds, your hand will let you know about it. The textured rubber material on this grip provides better purchase than the standard grip, which means less slipping and more consistent shot placement. The design is straightforward, nothing flashy, and that’s exactly what you want in a tactical accessory. Installation takes maybe two minutes if you’re moving slowly. The grip wraps around the rear portion of the pistol grip area and stays put once mounted. No rattling, no movement, no problems.
After using the Pachmayr 05103 Tactical Grip Glove for Moss Shockwave & Rem Tac 14, Black over multiple range sessions, I noticed my grip fatigue decreased noticeably, particularly on my third and fourth magazine. The recoil impulse from these shotguns is substantial, and anything that helps manage that and keeps your hand stable is worth having. I’ve added this to my recommended products list for anyone running these platforms seriously. The black finish matches well, looks professional, and doesn’t draw unnecessary attention. For someone coming from military or law enforcement experience, you’ll appreciate that Pachmayr keeps the aesthetics low-key while maintaining function.
Would I Buy the Pachmayr 05103 Tactical Grip Glove for Moss Shockwave & Rem Tac 14, Black Again
Yes, without hesitation. The price point is reasonable, the product does exactly what it claims, and durability so far has been solid. I’ve run both my Moss Shockwave and Remington TAC 14 with this grip installed, and performance has been consistent on both platforms. Some grip accessories feel cheap or look like an afterthought to a product line. This isn’t one of those. Pachmayr has built a reputation for reliability, and the Pachmayr 05103 Tactical Grip Glove for Moss Shockwave & Rem Tac 14, Black lives up to that standard. If you shoot either of these shotguns regularly or competitively, this upgrade is practical and affordable enough that there’s no valid reason to skip it.
The bottom line is straightforward: if you own a Moss Shockwave or Remington TAC 14 and want to improve your grip comfort and control without spending significant money, the Pachmayr 05103 Tactical Grip Glove for Moss Shockwave & Rem Tac 14, Black is a smart choice that delivers value.
